- Little Boy was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945.
- Fat Man was dropped on the city of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945.
- Little boy killed about 140,000
- Fat man killed about 100,000
- Before the dropping of the bomb, war was very gruesome in Japan, POW were tortured and some were forced to kill their own men.
- Japan refused the unconditional surrender, that the Allies offered.
- Japan asked their civilians to fight till death.
- An invasion of Japan would have caused more causalities than in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
